How to Edit Images in Photoshop Elements
There are two main ways to edit images in Elements:
Create a new image using the pre-loaded templates Create a new image using the canvas
Creating new images
Edit the height and width of the image
In order to do that, you need to switch from the canvas to the layers.
1. Load the canvas
The canvas is simply a tool to view and edit images, at the moment, we only need to change its size.
Launch Photoshop Elements and click on File on the menu bar.
The canvas option will appear on the right side.
Click on the canvas option to open the layers.
2. Open the layers
Drag the visible image to the layers panel.
3. Select the image
Drag the image that you want to open to the image area.
4. Adjust the width and height
Drag the image to change the size of the image. The smaller the image, the better.
Click on the canvas option to return to the main interface and continue editing.
Adding a new layer
The canvas is meant to be a preview of the image, but in some cases, you might want to add a new layer to the image or manipulate the image with a new layer.
1. Create a new image
To create a new image:
Click on File on the menu bar
On the top menu, click on New or create new.
Give it a name and select the layer style.
2. Add the shape
Drag the existing shape or a new one to add it to the canvas.
Press Enter to exit the shape.
3. Turn the layer visible
To turn the new layer visible or turn the layer visible or not:
Click on the icon on the bottom right of the canvas to open the layers panel.

The present invention relates to novel non-steroidal carbonate derivatives, intermediates for the production thereof and a process for producing same.
The structure of the non-steroidal carbonate derivatives of the invention includes a compound of the formula: ##STR3## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 each represents a straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl group of 1 to 12 carbon atoms or a cycloalkyl group of 4 to 8 carbon atoms, a cycloalkenyl group of 5 to 8 carbon atoms or a halogen atom and they may be the same or different, or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, R.sub.1 and R.sub.3, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 or R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 represent the form of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, R.sub.1 and R.sub.3, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 or R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 respectively.
The number of carbon atoms in the alkyl groups is the average number of carbon atoms in one molecule and the number of carbon atoms in the cycloalkyl group and cycloalkenyl group is the maximum number of carbon atoms in one molecule.
In this formula, when R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are alkyl groups, they are straight-chain alkyl groups of 1 to 12 carbon atoms. They may be the same or different. R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each is preferably an isopropyl group, a n-butyl group, a t-butyl group, a n-pentyl group, a t-pentyl group or a n-hexyl group. The most preferable compound among them is the compound wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each is a t-butyl group.
When R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 are alkyl groups, they are straight-chain alkyl groups of 1 to 12 carbon atoms and they may be the same or different. R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 each is preferably an isopropyl group or a t-butyl group. The most preferable compound among them is

 Md.Code (1974, 1989 Repl.Vol.), § 12-302(c)(2) of the Criminal Law Article provides:
“(c) Use of force in self-protection. A person may use force:
(1) To prevent or terminate what the person reasonably and in good faith believes to be the commission or attempted commission of a felony, except theft, in another person’s dwelling or conveyance if the person reasonably believes that the force is necessary to prevent the commission of the felony;
(2) In the lawful defense of another when the person reasonably believes that such other person is being attacked by a person who may bear the other person’s criminal or civil liability for such defense; or
(3) To prevent an unlawful entry into or attack upon the person’s dwelling.”
This was taken from the instructions as read by the trial judge during the instruction conference. The offered instruction was given by the court, over the objection of the State.
The instruction requested by appellant was:
“The nature of self-defense is such that an act which in itself is lawful in one situation may become unlawful in another situation. It is not unlawful, in the eyes of the law, for a citizen to use force in his own defense. The nature of the force used must be measured in the light of the circumstances as they reasonably appeared to the defendant at the time of the event. You may not use force unjustifiably or unnecessarily. The defendant, however, may exercise such force as a reasonable person in the circumstances would believe necessary to protect himself from an unlawful attack. Thus, if a person honestly and reasonably believes that he is under attack and there is evidence to support his claim, then he is justified in using such force as he reasonably believes to be necessary under the circumstances.”
The jury was given the following instruction on self-defense:
“Now, the burden is upon the State to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that [defendant] did not act in self defense.
In the law, the use of force is justified if the force used by [defendant] was reasonable in response to a verbal or physical attack upon him. The State must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that [defendant] used more force than was necessary to defend himself
